Non oem 370mm disks

I've seen someone on the Facebook group mention they have had non oem dimpled and grooved disks put on m sport brakes but I can't seem to find any links online to compare costs to oem etc. Also when asked the guy didn't know brands etc just a fitted price from
a mate.
Any brands I can look for? I've tried a general google search, tarox website and ap website etc. Before I shell out for m performance ones I just want to see if I can get better or much cheaper.

I've got Zimmermann ones, they're £170 delivered!

They're one piece iron discs, so don't have the aluminium hat, but it makes no difference whatsoever as far as I can tell. They are made from high carbon iron and have long lasting corrosion proof coating which are the important things.

That's a much better price than oem! How long have you been running them for? Apart from weight they sound good. Did you run the ferrado pads on these as well as I'm looking as ds2500's?

Had them on for a few weeks. They're only 1.2kg heavier, I've probably lost that much per corner already by ditching run flats!

Just running £35 Pagid pads, which perform identically to oem pads. I don't take my car on track so don't need anything more.

As long as they can stop my F31 the same as the oem ones then I'm happy with that, never intend to track the car only the occasional spirited B road drives.

The aluminium hat on the OEM discs have no performance advantage as far as I can see as they're not floating discs like the M cars have. Many high performance cars have solid one piece discs.

I'm going to replace my front disks and pads as I have a lot of shudder on them - only covered 11K miles in a 6 month old car...
Found the disks Teaston mentioned, however does anyone know the OEM number or the link to the pads that I'm best get please?
Thanks.

Assuming you have Brembo calipers, these are the Pagids I have, enter the code saveme75 for extra 7.5% off

Big difference in price to the pagid. I ran these in my old Cupar R so know they are good but £120 odd better ????? Tough choice!

Or you could try the DS Performance fast road pads at £73

Looks like a nice compromise but the picture shows the wrong shaped pad? Maybe just a stock image?

Just saw delivery for the ferrados so went for the pagids at £34 inc delivery using the 10% code spring10. At that price it's worth a risk!

Something I should have asked but do you get any noise or extra vibration from your set up?

Just contemplating if I shell out for oem performance disks thinking they will last longer. But that would have to be double as I think there £400 delivered.

Just the humming noise that all grooved discs have under hard braking.

They won't last any longer, both are the same thickness and made out of the same type of iron.

Thanks guys, ordered the zimmermann discs and the pagid pads...
Can't wait to get rid of the shudder... which apparently is caused by holding the brake in traffic after driving hard....

Seems like a no brainier for the price, did you use the 10% off too? I went for economy delivery (4+ days) and revived a dhl text saying they will be delivered today!

Are the m performance Ines 2 piece or are the standard Ines too?

Can't believe there aren't more options out there for the car but looks like I will be going Zimmerman man as well today.

Both the OEM discs are two piece.

Textar do a 2 piece m performance disc at around £300 a pair:

ATE do the 2 piece too : https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/ate-7883611.html
I suppose for anyone wanting to keep unsprung weight to a minimum, 5kg'ish over solid discs is a fair weight saving, I guess that was bmw's reasoning behind the ally middles.

They're not grooved and dimpled though.

They don't have the fancy grooved and dimpled in the ATE. they've just got the textar that teaston has already mentioned in grooved and dimpled : https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/textar-8036707.html
