G30 max approach and departure angles
Anyone know if these are different to the F10 ? For MSport and non-MSport ride height and bumper design ?
F10 MSport on 704 suspension scrapes the tarmac very slightly if exiting our drive forwards. F10 Luxury doesn't. Not sure how much of this is due to ride height difference and how much due to different front bumper designs. |

I'm sure both the front M-sport bumper and ride height are against you on tight approach angles. |

Hi Pete,
I'm hoping the G30 MSport bumper isn't quite as jutty-outy, 'cos the F10 one is a right PITA for steep approach angles, quite apart from the 10mm suspension drop from the 704 suspension. (Of course we all know I'm going to spec AD in the end anyway, despite my protestations about how good 704 suspension is on the new model....) |

I don't remember where I read it but I recall that the approach angle on the G30 is worse than the f10 and the departure angle is identical.

I guess my f10 would be a no go where you live.

It's not a problem in my daily driving, and it's fine going over speed bumps where I live. Steep inclines can be a problem though.

It's possible to go with the Sport (not M Sport) or Luxury model with DHP and 19" wheels. That actually seems like the best choice with this car unless you really care about the cosmetics of the M Sport or really prefer the M Sport suspension to the DHP suspension for some reason.
Unfortunately, this is not possible with the M550i where you are stuck with low clearance. |
