Downpipe acceptable?

Is the downpipe I received of acceptable quality? What concerns me is the lip that is formed at the bottom. Seems like it would induce turbulent flow? Not naming the brand just yet...

What brand? Does it look cracked? If so return it and have them send you a new one.

It doesn't appear like it's a crack. It just looks like it was welded off center and formed a lip. I'm not going to name the brand, in an effort to allow the manufacturer to make it right.

Doesn't look like a major deal but if it is a crack... no need to deal with in the future

Garage List
It's not cracked, the excess penetrated weld is ground down in order to improve airflow. It's absolutely fine.

Use a dremel and or sander grinder to smooth it out if its not cracked. It won't take much to get it down smooth.

That looks a little unclean / rough and seems to be a seam thats exposed. Also the welding cleanup around the o2 port is also pretty poor? (might be camera angle)

I don't think it will be an issue installing but its definitely not a great finish on the pipe. Not sure if you bought new or used but I would get in contact with vendor for a swap if it was me. If you bought from me I will 100% swap that for you. Just email or PM me.

You have a pic of the outside of that area?

Mike

Mike@N54 for the win!

I've no idea if the DP is good or bad but I know which vendor gave the best answer.

"If you bought from me I will 100% swap that for you. Just email or PM me."

Well done Sir!
