Upper Vent - Face level Temp control

I know some of you in other posts lamented the removal of this thumb-wheel on the F10 to the iDrive menu... well at least on mine there is a menu button on the AC controls (right in the centre) and if you hit this it brings you directly to the iDrive menu to adjust this particular setting... might save you using one of the Favourites buttons for this function. Preferred the F10 method myself...

When the menu button was mentioned before, in another topic, it certainly made me feel easier about the change in function.

more convenient to keep as a preset. preset brings you right to that function. Hitting the menu button, you have to use I drive, click down, click and adjust.

Cheers, still learning the menus...I did say I preferred the F10 method. On pick up the dealer extolled the virtue of the new auto wiper functionality..I questioned what about when you want do a quick swipe when behind a truck, for example. Apparently it was in response to customer demand...more precisely it would be more familiar to non BMW drivers. Hey, what about the loyal customers I.e. People who had actually purchased a BMW before - do we not count??!! Anyhow, I'll get over it....

Grrr. Why not go the whole hog then and adopt full touch screens and dump the drive wheel? And bring the indicators down to old man driving position like merc.
