Yes read the article earlier.
Happy enough I didn't take up the offer now. The journalist is not convinced the 5 is head and shoulders over the e class. I think he said that in his previous review too. How are you finding compared to f10 now you have it a few days? |

Thanks for posting link.
Audi were right all along ??? Really.... Don't see the point of Quattro / xdrive having owned ( via the wife ) both unless you live up a mountain, a sub zero climate or tow a horse box at weekends, have no interest of the balance of a properly sorted RWD set up or are unable to drive properly. Pay more money Drive a heavier car Get worse mpg Lose ability to have fun at will on slippery roads at will ( electronics make this possible even for someone coming from FWD and not used to a balanced car ) What's to like ???? RWD any day of the week for me. Different argument with 500bhp plus, get the new M5 / RS6 rationale.

http://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1370048 Still waiting for the engine to break in so have'nt really floored it yet, but even so I can sense the extra torque on tap. All in all, very pleased (with the one downer being that due to depressed trade in values I curtailed some options which I had previously (HUD, Sun Roof, HK sound) as I made sure my head overrode my heart... hopefully I can pick up a high spec UK import in the future when the cost to change makes sense

I was at the event last Sunday, excellent way for testing the cars, on track not that will ever take my car into one, must admit I am know thinking of the 530d, the engine note was as expected far superior to the 520d. I am also aiming at the touring version this time around! As with my previous 5 series the E60 and F10 always prefer to wait for the 1st factory break and 1st modifications to avoid early issues with new models, so planning to put an order end of summer.
Shame for the M2 and M4 track round, as passenger was the only option! I can see my self braking the Bank if I was given the chance to drive the M4, the weather was spot on too. |
