Hi all,

Ten days ago I ordered a 540i xDrive with expected delivery in the end of June. Since there will be a long wait until then, and especially since, unlike in Europe and the US, in Canada most options are bundled into large packages, I thought I should start a new thread for the Canadian owners. To get it going, here is how I've configured my G30:

Indeed, though this way they force you to get also stuff you do not really need. Anyways, what I left out was:

Nice configuration , Adaptive Drive and Integral Steering could be added though . However, your configuration is very logical for the items you would think that you would rarely use at all , no need to shell out a hefty price

One thing I would do though is take the apple car play off.

Buy it when you have the car through connected drive and then if you think it's rubbish you can cancel it and get your money back.

You won't be able to do that if you buy it as a factory option.

You can't have both adaptive and ias. Ddc (VDC) is already on.

You are of course right, ZigmundUK. But given their price and their mechanical complexity, I've decided I need none of these two options. As for Car Play, ajfoggy, as an avid Apple user, I really do want it, even though I know its implementation has issues, at least for now.

I had forgotten to mention that I also left out the display key and remote control parking (bundled together in Canada) as I know the novelty will fade away pretty quickly! Of course, these are just my personal preferences - others may think otherwise.

Glad to be of help. I can now also offer some info on building/shipping times. I placed my order in the beginning of April. Production started a couple of weeks later and finished on April 21. About a week later the car was on the boat to Halifax, where it's scheduled to arrive on May 7. My dealer says that ETA in Calgary is mid June, though there is a slim possibility that we may see it here by the end of May. I'll update this info as soon as I know more.

Apparently customs processing in Halifax can take a few weeks during busy times. But I'm still hoping for end of the month.

I am potentially considering this, even though I haven't made up my mind yet would be interesting to know the sticker price after adding the options you did. I am not sure if I could live without my M3 if I got this....I know completely different animals so we won't get into comparisons. Just gotta figure it out I guess. Congrats on your new vehicle, hope you get it soon!

Thanks. It arrived in town on the 24th but isn't at the dealership yet !! I am, as we speak, arranging to pick it up on June 1, as I'll be out of town till then.
Regarding sticker price with options, you can see it yourself by adding the options you want in the online configurator of BMW Canada. I was also able to get a 3.2% discount. Best of luck with your choices.
