help-what's this loose wire near battery
I replaced my battery today and when I was finished I noticed there was this red and blue wire not attached to anything. Is this for an accessory I don't have? My car is a base with no i-drive.

To easlily disconnect and spare the battery during long haul shipping, BMW installs some cabling at manufacturing in cars that initially are shipped overseas (VO option code 818). The connector you're showing is the only part that permanently is supposed to remain in the car. Did you do a direct replacement with the OEM battery or use something else. I have heard some using the OEM BMW:Mini batteries to save weight. Just curious as I know I will be needing a new one eventually.

I went to Autozone and got an AGM battery for $155 and downloaded Carly.
