Any simple way to verify whether the MPPSK programming has been done?

I only ask because there were issues with the flash so I had to bring it back to BMW to complete the programming. I guess I'm just looking for piece of mind. Sadly, I doubt I'd really notice 30-40 horsepower in NYC.

Mine was installed post-purchase. It does say B58M now, is that an automatic thing when the computer has been flashed?

You can easily feel it..

However the best way to know is if the noise changes between sport and comfort...

If you hear a big difference under acceleration is done properly.

The noise changed from comfort to sport without the flash. It has a slightly different exhaust note after the computer flash though and much burpier. I took my car to a dynomometer today and confirmed that it is definitely installed.

They couldn't get the computer to flash and asked me to come back in.

There's no problem installing the exhaust without the flash but apparently, once the computer is flashed, check your vin, your engine should say B58M.

If I still have it in the car, definitely. Hopefully you won't mind a cell phone pic. I'm guessing the dyno info will be on it because I have no clue??

Just curious myself, those are really healthy numbers you got there! Makes going the piggy back route not seem as appealing.

Where you get the dyno? I'm thinking of getting jb+ Or Dinah sport on top of the mppsk and would like to get a before and after.

Thanks

Hi mate I have a new 440lci hasn't got mppsk. Just standard factory exhaust but when I check on the vin check. my engine is showing up as b58m.

Simplest way is the sound. Mppsk gives totally different sound in comfort and sport modes. Stock exhaust sounds pretty much no difference.

BTW I put in the VIN for service loaner that definitely does not have the MPPSK and it shows B58M on bmwvin.com so I wouldn't use that as any type of indication that the car has the MPPSK installed.
