Aerodynamics considerations
Hi all
As I'm shifting my focus to aerodynamics having done most of what i wanted with chassis, i have been wondering how effective the M performance aero kit was, and what the effect of lowering the car was on lift/downforce/drag. I came across this 4 chapters easy to understand guide that I wanted to share: http://www.buildyourownracecar.com/r...cs-and-design/ Not sure yet if i keep the f30 or decide to swap for f80 or m5 but I'm definitely putting the aero kit on my next list of mods whatever the car is.

I have the full aero kit on my car
That is the big question, "does it actually have a benefit on aerodynamics" And "is the benefit actually noticeable in day to day driving" BMW designed this kit so assume they would have made some sort of effort, but then again who knows |

I would think it is helpful when it matters most, i mean at 100km/h (or 60mph) and above, just stick your hand out of the window you can feel the strength of the air flow.
Now if you look at this they show its been tested in wind tunnels and on the track
