Anyone heard of i-sotec?
I just went to a car audio shop where they have been installing lots of aftermarket audio on the e90.
I was recommended an amp called i-sotec which the sales guy said is a plug and play amp very well suited to the e90. No cutting of wires or any messy stuff. Checked the website of this manufacturer. It's German technology. Anyone heard of it or even have one installed in your e90? Would really appreciate any experience on this. Thanks |

I chose these cos it takes the HU input and the outputs through the vehicle wiring harness (speakers) without having to lay extra cabels from the boot or from anyother place. Just need to hide the amp. Do you have any more suggestions for another amp that can do this?? Please enlighten me.. Oh and i have the base system, no tweeters, so not amped i think. another question: How do i code base to HIFI, any idea ? Edit: does the Technic harness do the same thing? or i am totally stressed out Last edited by kaputme; 09-26-2016 at 09:35 AM.. |

as Ctuner stated above the upgrades to the sound system have ben well documented and for a base system upgrade that options should will do well. although i havnt really heard of that brand of amp?!?! i personaly have hifi system and will be replacing the amp in the boot with the JL XD600/6 and using the harness for hifi from technic. he also does a harness for the basse system simular to the one supplied with that kit. there are a lot of good amps out there that take high level inputs and i would look at the links from ctuner. Anything from JL is going to be good to code hifi you would need to change the VO from the code for base to the code for HiFI, i'm unsure what that is but can check. then write to the CIC so it thinks its the hifi system its running hope that helps? |

Very very happy with My set Up :-D
So Finally this week i got everything set up..
My set up is as follows Isotec Isoamp 4ds Plug and play Amp Audio System X 200 BMW plus. (front door, Under-seat subs and Tweeters) Door sails Now its just amazing how loud i can turn this thing up and still not loose any clarity. the good thing is i have an adapter connected to the HU which splits the output of the HU which goes into the Amp and the output of the amp goes to the adapter. So if i get fed up of this amp or if i find something better for cheap, i can replace the amp (or sell it) and use these cables to wire my new Amp inputs and outputs using the factory cables already. No need to run too many cabels. things noted or strange: The OEM speakers we have in Germany are better than what i have seen pictures from the USA market. See link http://www.justbefree.de/tips/e90/3-vorne.jpg also it has two connectors, one is connected from the factory adaptor and the second is not used. i think its to add tweeters. Under seat woofers are wired up wrongly ( May be i am wrong) on the driver side Blue/brown was connected to positive and Blue/white was Negative. But i connected it the other way and have ton of bass and till now no problems noted.. Do you think its OK?? Now on the hunt for some nice rear speakers. Any suggestions??
