Hello.

It's better to make my own thread because we(me) "spammed" collection experience thread(but there you can find replies from others).

There is story about my order(s) :

20.12.2016
placed and order of 440i xdrive gan coupe
signed contract
placed deposit
estimated delivery set to March

18.1.2017
4 GC facelift release (+- January)
order changed to 4GC FL cuz production stop in Facts
estimated delivery set to April

10.2.2017
dealer called me that there is problem with HUD + digital dash - it's not possible yet, if I want it I can have it since July..

19.2.2017
changed an order to 540i xdrive, dealer said it's not problem and he will try to deliver it for me asap, April/early May. He said thats not problem to reconfigurate some ordered car configurated for saloon for me to have it earlier.
estimated delivery has been set to 15.5.2017

sent mails almost every week since 1.4., he always replied "I still have no confirmation from Germany but it may work"
3rd week of April he replied that he is sorry but he can confirm the 100% May production and delivery. Well if end of May production so early June delivery (aways delivery in 14days from date of production).

last week
I wanted make sure me and my bank assistant so I asked again if the May is possible. He replied dont worry Mr.XY your car will be produced in May I can confirm it.

yesterday
my dealer wrote me an email that he is sorry but he has absolutely no clue when the car is going to be produced

today
My bank assistant who controls my credit on car wrote me an email that dealer told her my car going to be ready "in long time"
I wrote mad email to my dealer what is it happening..
My dealer replied that he is sorry but it looks like my car is going to be produced maybe in July.. that he is going to pray for it but still it's not sure if it would be real..

So I wrote him I am thinking about canceling the order and want money from deposit back.
He replied "please dont do it they will kill me here if you would cancel it and also because of the change from 4er to 5er - we had to reconfigurate and take the 4GC in saloon, who knows when we going to sell it. Please be patient you will get your car"

I wrote him that he promised me car April/May and I will not wait to July. And also that he told me it's not problem to change an order from 4 to 5.

He said he will solve it as chief seller and also with boss for import and mb it will be possible soon but he can't promise it to me.

Now I am waiting for solution. He also promised me that he will ask his boss for : if they will not deliver car for me to the end of june they will lend me some 3er or better for free untill I get my car.. But... he can't promise..

So I am waiting what thing will "drop from him".
I also contacted a guy(I don't know him but my friend does cuz he does some business with him) who knows owner of this authorized saloon so in Tuesday he will try to ask there too...

Well well my dream is not going to be alive that easy way I thought...

This is ridiculous. BMW needs to chase down these rogue dealers who are giving the brand a dirty name. I say if you don't get a satisfactory definitive answer within 1 week put their details on this site. And if they still don't budge then cancel and go with a different dealer.

So sad that in some countries we get lots of information and in others they expect to persist with the old ways.

Man it really sucks that people like me don't get to be CEO of a company like BMW, because I would demand a LHD drive car be delivered to this paying customer without the red tape and apparent dealer shenanigans that depreciates my brand name in emerging economies... but that is probably why people like me don't get to be the CEO of a company like BMW...

That's no excusable ,what an amateurish job they're doing .
Sorry to hear about delivery mystery .When they give you a deadline for your delivery they should be making that may be in tolerances of one week maximum

Will see what is he going to offer me.. I dont expect that would be some perfect offer.
It will be hard for him to take the dagger from my back!
I am sure I will want more than lending a car since 1st July. (Delivery has been set to 15.5.)

Question is if it´s possible because I have signed the contract and there stays something like possible 3months dealay if there is problem in Germany. But I guess he is scared now and mb there is problem in their saloon not in Germany.

Of course you can cancel. And get a full refund on your deposit.

Yes I know but for me it will be best to get some compensation and car asap than canceling it and start from 0 :-( I am so sad, will see what they will offer me (on Tuesday cuz Monday is a public holiday).

Somebody mentioned here if I had problems with the new car to imagine solving it with my dealer... : but support is aviable all over the EU for me or not?

And another problem is I sold my car months ago and lend my mothers Opel corsa for "a while".
Well I havent been experienced in buying new car so I didnt know the date of delivery may change that much.
Its rly old car in not good shape so I cant travel more than inside of the city hehe.

Well well I hope I am going to know possibilites the day after tomorrow.

Well.. my good friend has a friend whose schoolmate is an owner of this BMW saloon so I asked him for help..

so..

Today I have recieved a sms from director of this BMW saloon.

He typed me that delivery of 540i is delayed all over the EU. He will try it to resolve it for me personally. Unfortunately he has no concrete date of production but preliminary production month is July/August.
He offered me as compensation lending car (didnt specified which) since half of June until I get mine for free.

So I replied him I am so sad and that I dont understand why I've got this information 5.5. if my car order has been placed in Febuary with estimated delivery 15.5. And why I got this information only after my bank assistant asked them for my credit..

Probably I do. Because I have nothing better to choose.

If I cancel it and reorder by other Saloon
+ mb a tiny tiny bit better price cuz of going from other dealer
- I will wait more
- no car until I get mine
If I order 550i instead, which has no problems like 540i
+ better engine
-I will wait same(or more cuz of later order) and spend + 10k EUR
- no car until I get mine

Staying with this dealer means have what I have ordered and they lend me a car until I get mine.. (as I mentioned before I sold my old E91 so I got nothing to travel with for longer distance)

Well I asked them how it would be (price+delivery) if 550i.. will see.

Btw director typed me another sms. He said that Germany has changed the code of order in the 1st week of May and then they seen it´s delayed that much.. idk if it´s possible 1 week before estimated delivery date but... who knows :-/

Edit : nothing new yet. It takes them 1day for answer lol. Other Cze dealers reply in minutes but there is always action before taking money, especially for a chance to take a customer from others..

Well they replied me today. They dont recommend me the 50i because of this experience, cant tell me when the 50i would be, especially if we start from zero again.
So I decided rather stay with my lovely 40i and save my money.
They also wrote me they are working on "best possible and as soon as possible" car for free until I get mine.

I will inform you guys asap when I will know something more. The 40i is all over the EU problem it seems... so be careful if u are going to order this engine.

By the way, my friend from Germany told me that his colleague ordered the 540i xdrive touring and estimated delivery of this car is April 2018!!!!
