New 335d!

I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been in the hemi world for the past 7 years and this is my first BMW. I had two Magnums, two Challengers, and a Charger.

MY new 335d is higher on the mileage side at 94k, but that means I got it for cheap and am not too worried about putting some money into it. The first mods will be getting rid of the emissions stuff and a tune. Then it'll be mostly cosmetic stuff.

The only mods I've done so far are the gloss black kidneys and LUX halos.

Well here are some pics of the new car:

I see you bought it at Principle, are you in San Antonio? If so I'd be happy to show you mine.

Welcome bfunk04. I'm a mopar person too (reason for my username). Texas is a good place to own a no alphabet 335D or X5D.

I'm assuming that FL is also a good state to own a stripped diesel? Can anyone confirm? If I purchase post lease, would love to make some changes.

Yeah I'm working on getting rid of my emissions stuff right now. I'm ordering the full exhaust. I'm looking for someone to help me with it because this is the first diesel I will have ever worked on and it intimidates me a little.

Join the North American 335d Owners Group and ask for me. I can help you over Messenger. You're a little too far for me to drive and help, but I just did the deletes myself as well. Happy to offer some assistance. It's a pain in the ass, but not too difficult to handle.

Thanks a lot, I'll do that. I may just give it a shot myself. Removing the motor mount is the part that has me the most nervous. I don't have a lift so i'll be doing this on my back and not sure how to support the engine.

Exact same thing I did. The engine mount is a squeeze, but with an extension and patience it's really not that bad.

There are plenty of DIYs here on doing the DPF delete. Here is the original but you have to sift through it (and ignore the drama) and focus on the tech stuff. It really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I've had mine apart 4 times with three times having the motor mount bracket off. I will edit this post aftr i go get the DPF delete thread for you. There is another real good written too. I will paste in both.

links added: DPF delete and Alphabet soup one. 2nd one is much more direct.
