Hi guys, do you know anyone who is able to uninstal my Viper alarm from my E92LCI and then instal it to another car?
It was professionally fitted by secure my car to my car, so my first point was to call them to see how much harm this would cause. Was quoted £550 which is a bit steep considering brand new install incl parts & labour !!!!
Thanks

Garage List
Caraudiosecurity in Hayes did mine. They're certified/authorised fitters.

Have you had it removed yet? The alarm brain is unlikely to be compatible with the CAS of your new car unless you opt for another E92.

Sensors you could easily unplug and then all you'd need reversed is the immobiliser.

When I sold my E92. I left it on there because I recouped the value. It added 250 and the buyer was happy as he wasn't aware of the security issue.

The only thing you could carry over would be sensors and remotes - flashing light too if you opted for that. You could put it into the new car and all you'd need is the new brain and immobiliser.

I havent uninstalled it yet. I'll probably leave it in the car to see if I can attract potential with it. Surely there arent many E92s with Viper.
If ot succesfull, I might uninstall it and sell it. Also my next car will be F32 so I doubt I will need it.

No I don't think there are many. I still see E92's with no aftermarket security. Still talk to people who are not aware...

See you on the 4 series forum soon then. That's where you'll find me.
