Vibration/whirring noise around 60mph E90 325d M Sport Auto

Hi guys and girls.

I have a 2010 N57 325d M Sport auto/paddles and around 60mph I get a vibration/whirring noise. It sounds rotational as the whir gets loader and slower at a constant speed.

Someone suggested callers and a quick look around the car it looks like the calipers have been recently replaced except for one.

Before I go all out on that old caller, does anyone else have any ideas?

The car drives spot on. She does have a few miles under her belt

Thanks in advance

Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing, I did my calipers last month and it did not make a whirring noise.

Could be a differential? Mine has just started to make a noise similar to wheel bearing. Found this on YouTube and it sounds exactly like mine.

Quite easy to check if its the caliper. Take the car out for a good run then flick some water on the disc. If it sizzles its sticking :-)

Shouldn't need the water to tell. BMW brakes make a lot of friction/heat. The dragging one will feel like a toaster

My suggestion is it's probably tyre noise. See if you can borrow a full set of wheels off a mate and test again befor condemning expensive parts like wheel bearings or diffs
