Handbreak shoe adjustment. Can't get service lock to engage
As title states I'm currently trying to adjust my hand break but I can't get the service lock to click and compress the spring.
I have tried adjusting without but can't get the adjustment wheel to turn at all

If it was anything like mine... remove handbrake handle and gaiter completely (I did this as was installing a storm metal one anyway but it gave extra clearance for the screwdriver with the handbrake down!). Then using a long flathead screwdriver push really really really hard. Mine felt like I'd pushed it all the way in as far as it would go but still wouldn't engage... after trying for 10 minutes I just pushed even harder (to the point I thought something would break!) and then it clicked on! ?

As above, also make sure the handbrake is completely disengaged otherwise the service lock won't click.
I leant against the steering wheel for extra leverage! |
