Will a 18.8 Style 189 wheel fit a stock rear tire?

Hi, I have a 2009 e93 335i . I have the style 189 wheels.All 4 wheels are 18.8 square set up wheels but not tires.
Will a 255/35/18 stock rear tire fit on that 18.8 wheel? If I use an 18mm spacer in the rear will it rub ? Thanks

255 will look oversized a bit but yes it will fit, though I wouldn't recommend it. 245 is pretty square on an 8.

I'm not necessarily looking for a square set up. I just want it to drive better because of the bigger rear tire size. So will it handle better ?

I said square as in the sidewall will be perpendicular to the ground. A 225 on an 8 looks slightly stretched whereas a 255 looks slightly oversized. From personal experience, I would recommend 245 on an 8 at most.
