New BMW 2 Series Owner
Hello folks,
Purchased my first vehicle this weekend from BMW of Alexandria. After many hours lurking on this forum I pulled the trigger on a beautiful CPO 228i rwd. Car: 2014 228i M Sport Glacier Silver Metallic Dakota Leather Coral Red 11,000 miles / 6 Speed M Sport Package Cold Weather package Dynamic Handling Package Lighting Package Premium Package Technology Package + HK Sound Overall I'm extremely happy with the car. I was initially torn between an M235i and this 228i. After careful consideration I decided to go with this as it will be my daily driver, commute of 70 miles per day, 4 days a week (work remote on Fridays)! So far I have purchased Bimmercode App and accessory, as well as weather tech mats. Looking for suggestions on exhausts. Please feel free to chime in below. Was thinking of the AA exhaust as most people seem to like the tone. Thanks! |

Nice choice. I think the 2's look great in silver but you don't see many of them.
I like my Dinan muffler. The cold start is great, highway it pretty much isn't there. The idle is the best part. |

Sweet ride. If you're going to DD in the winter keep your eyes open for snow tires for sale on the forums. A few people have installed the M Performance exhaust that's meant for a 328, it only needs minimal modification for a perfect fit.

I did not know the exhausts were interchangeable between the 328 and 228, regardless of minimal modification that's good to know! |

I am local to you and have the stock 235 muffler for sale, you'd just need to buy the clamp and some tips. Could get the whole thing done for $300-400 depending on whether or not you do the labor. I am fairly certain it's a direct fit no modification necessary, but call Matt Bean at Thompson to ask him he can tell you 100%.
