M adaptive suspension
Has anyone read any official statement about the difference between sport and sport+, on a m adaptive suspension car? I have read many threads saying no change in suspension. However I do feel a stiffer feeling in sport+ and heavier steering than sport mode. My car comes with Variable sports steering and adaptive suspension. Anyone is welcome to chime in

There are only two settings for the adaptive suspension for non M cars (sports/comfortable). If you have chassis activated for Sports mode (which is default activated) then sports and sports+ are the same
taken from the bmw f30 chassis dynamics guide

Probably I'm too sensitive on steering and suspension. But shifting point is really different. |

Note that Sport is the default configuration with Chassis and Transmission enabled. I've tested the different combinations and found the transmission and chassis info correct. I can't vouch for the DSC or eLSD as I haven't tested the combinations on a track, autoX, or empty parking lot yet. So, yeah, shift points between sport and sport+ should be similar. But it does differ based on how you manage the throttle

Sport and Sport+ on EDC is the same if Chassis is selected.
EDC or adaptive suspension is just that...adaptive...it is NOT stiffer all over, think of it not as static stiffer like going coilover from standard OE suspension, but rather it takes into account speed, steering angle and throttle/brake input for the shock stiffness. If you find a part of a highway/freeway that has a high speed turn, you can take that at performance levels with & without EDC in sport mode and you can most definitely feel a difference. Now go over a small imperfection on the road going straight and you will notice the dampening difference is much less between comfort and sport. You can also do a quick snap lane change with and without Sport EDC to see the difference. Its night and day. EDC is simply amazing. I cannot wait until Bilstein EDC B16's are available for sale here. |

Launch control came with 2014 or 2015 models. (I think from the same time when iDrive controller with touch was introduced)
