replacing rear brake pads

Hi

I have a E90 330D LCI and quite happy replacing the pads front and back

I was thinking of buying a F30 ( maybe ) but if they have a electronic handbrake can you still replace the rear brake pads ( DIY )

Do you need a special tool to reset the rear pistons or are they the same as the E90 with hand brake shoes and pads ?

Thanks
