You shouldn't need a garage to replace them, if they are the H8 bulbs like mine (E93 2009 build) you either go from under the wheel arch or there is a hatch on the top of the head light...

The problem is, only one ring lights up, the other one will always be dull.

I have a pair H8 bulbs rolling around my boot that you can have. fit them and see how that go's as I don't want them due to getting my head lights converted on the 3 June.

Just PM me your address and I will pop them in the post,,,

Happy Days

Mind you it might be different on a saloon

Why does replacing a bulb cause that issue?

It,s to do with the light optic on the head light, it has 2 rings but it's fed from one bulb so the inner ring gets all the light, stupid design,,,,,

Any idea where you got the bulbs from originally? I'm guessing there were/are no error codes?

What are the best bulb (halogen) to match white angel eyes? Currently i have white angel eyes but the other bulbs look bad compared to the white rings. What you guys advise to buy?
