I'm sorry BMW, I'm not feeling it. Only the rear end looks +/- ok and the exhaust sounds good .
The 8er should look like this concept...

What is up with this dudes pants? You cuff them and roll them up to expose a portion of ankle. Someone got off the fashion train in 1955.

Ugh
Was looking forward to trading in the M4 for the M8, but i must say that I am NOT a fan of the styling. I'm hoping that a number of changes are made before production....

Meh...give me an e31 any day. And I'm not saying that out of nostalgia or anything, I wasn't born when the e31 came out.

I am so relieved BMW finally came up with a good-looking design, I was afraid that they will botch the last good-looking BMW, the 6-series.
I does have design cues from Aston Martin pre-DB11 and a Maserati-like pointy nose, but somehow it manages to look like a BMW. I like that they gave up on the ugly design element of joining the headlights with the front grille. It was just not working. Also, the headlights have much cleaner lines compared to the trembling mess from the X5 and X6, for example. Solid advancements in design from BMW. Hopefully some elements will also trickle down to the 3-series, and 4-series, they sorely need a new design language, otherwise BMW and even Audi will walk all over them. Maybe BMW plans to go back to a sporty and dynamic look instead of the limousine-look found in the current 7-series and 5-series. Great work, BMW ! |

I think the car is beautiful!! The only thing I think is off putting is how it resembles so many other cars. The front end gills look a bit Maserati-ish; the front end overall looks Lexus-ish; the tail lights look a tad bit like the new Infiniti tail lights; the tail overall reminds me a bit of Aston Martin....think it just took queues from too many places. So again, it's a beautiful car., just not a staple BMW imo...

Good overall; love that exhaust note; very aggressive; Curious to see the production model translation; those side mirrors will get chucked surely; not practical.
