I would assume it's in the manuals than come with the car. On some obscure page that BMW doesn't want you to find.

I'm going to look at my manuals when I get home.

It would be nice if it was posted here in a sticky thread.

Interesting but still doesn't tell me what I want to know.

I've been told the differential doesn't have a change interval but I find it hard to believe there isn't one for the transmission.

it'a all in the Service & Warranty Information book that came with your car. I briefly describe the contents in the link of my post above.

They state the trans is long life fluid that in lifespan of the car only gets changed when the box needs any kind of servicing.

That's sad, I guess BMW really doesn't expect life beyond 100k miles.

High mileage autos don't like their oil changed. Normaly it leads to transmission failure.

Would rather keep fresh oil in there
