Alpina flash

Anyone in the Bay Area knows how to do a Alpina flash on a e90 LCI? I have heard of it improving the up shifting and down shift response and throttle response thus improving the pick up. Is that true?

Which flash will help you get better gas mileage if any?

I know the Alpina gives you slight bump in MPG, if driven in D mode. I can't speak for xHP.

I had Alpina for about a year before switching to xHP. I'd say just skip the Alpina and do the xHP flash. You'll be a lot happier in my opinion. Once you experience the Alpina "D" mode, you'll be looking for something else.

Search the forum for xHP. There is a whole thread dedicated to the app. It's very informative but it's still pretty new so I'm not sure if there is much mileage info. Most people that flash it are more into the performance aspects than the mileage though. I went with the Stage 3 Race version which probably isn't very economical. Damn fun to drive with though!

No need to be an ass.....

It's very simple; you buy a DCAN cable, download the Xhp app and buy the flash tune on the app, connect your car to a charger, connect the cable to your car and your phone, and flash. There's a little more to it but its pretty easy to do.

But if you want to pay someone I'll gladly do it for you for $100 plus whatever it costs you for the app/flash tunes.

EDIT: you would have to use your own phone or tablet I believe, as the tune is connected with your play store/apple store account.
