Koni FSDs on stock suspension
I have a 335d that needs at least one front strut. I have an offer to get a new set of Koni FSD struts and shocks at a good price. I found a local installer to put them on. From another post, I think the FSDs like the factory springs.
In general, I like the feel of the stock suspension on the super rough roads in Michigan. I think (hope) the FSDs will smooth out the bumps a bit, and still have reasonable performance. Hopefully better than stock. I run 18 inch wheels in the summer too. I ditched the run-flats to smooth it out a bit. Does this make sense? Is there anything else I should do as part of this upgrade? |

When you replace your struts/shocks, make sure your refresh your strut mounts, bumpstops, spring pads, and all the other wear and tear parts... do it once, do it right!
Here is what a complete refresh looks like with Koni FSDs: |
