What's everyone's take on these wheels?

So close to completing my order! I'm most likely going to sacrifice the adaptive LED's for Individual Tanzanite Blue, however what's everyone's take on these wheels???

I've looked at these several times, and they just don't do anything for me. With the Tanzanite color, I'd go with the Ferric Gray 704 wheels with mixed summer tires.

They're lovely, but I live in Spain and the roads I drive on daily are shockingly bad. It's because of this I want 18". Plus I do about 26k miles per year so 19" will just end up costing me loads.

The other choice is the standard 441 ferric grey option but they're a bit boring....

I have 442's with Tanzanite, I think I prefer the wheels to the colour.

I think the 441M looks better than the 398 and they're a bit lighter also.

That's interesting.....the 398's come as part of the track package....

I also like the fact they are not run-flat by default. I can't stand run-flat tyres!

I love the look of my 398's, but that said, my exterior color is Mineral Grey so I think they compliment each other nicely. Doesn't look as good with that blue.

Additionally, I wanted track handling and non RFT's.

I would do the 441 in ferric grey if you're going to do 18's.

Agree with the other opinions here, love your color, not sure about those wheels. They don't contrast well with the car, they take away from the color.

I've never liked those wheels. I live in Pittsburgh and do pretty well with 19s. If you do not know: Pittsburgh it is literally like driving on the moon. I do however run 18s in the winter.

I feel the GC especially needs 19s to fill up the wheel gaps.

Do not like them at all. Got 19" orbit gray on mine.

I had those wheels but in silver on my 320 and I loved them. I prefer them to the OEM M Sport wheels I currently have. I am not into dark colored wheels. Always looks kind of ricey or ghetto to me.

I have ordered them for my glacier silver 340 for the exact same reasons as you, bad road conditions plus non run flat. They are 225/45 and 255/40 so it fills wheel gap properly. There was one 440 gc in tanzanite blue with those wheels at the dealer where I ordered my 340 and it looks awsome. Picture on the configurator does not render that well. Don't be worried.

^^^ agree with the above in terms of the configurator, and even many high res pictures online do not give you a good sense of the look re the 398's. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Not a fan of them - I don't believe they match BMW's design/styling. Go for the 442M or newer 704M wheels.

Love them, have them on my EB 340i (check out my profile page)... I do agree with others that they maybe contrast better with lighter coloured paint, but EB is just pale enough I think. However someone above has said they have seen them on a car painted in TB and they looked awesome.... it is a matter of personal taste really. For instance I prefer the appearance of 18" to 19" wheels where most people think bigger looks better!! To my eyes the 18's are the perfect size on the F30... and you get the best ride & handling balance.

Also, as said above, the configurator does these wheels no justice at all, everyone who has seen my car in front of their eyes has said.... wow love the wheels man!! I actually think they look great in your pic above, but they'll look even better in the metal..

Cheers all for the feedback. I really will only take 18" wheels so they are my only options.

I also chose against Tanzanite Blue as having seen an M4 in the showroom with the same colour, it was very susceptible to scratches and swirling. While I'll take ridiculous care of my car, it's a daily tool and the inevitable will happen.

I also decided on the dark 398 wheels too. I've not seen any other cars around my way with them so it's going to be a very unique combination. I would like to know what the factory tyres on these wheels are though...

So, after a lot of thought, I finally took the plunge and pending finance approval on Monday, this is how my new 420d Grand Coupe will look in August....

I do however like the contrast with the blue calipers.
