Camarillo Autocross

Hi Everyone,

I am hosting an autocross event at Camarillo airport on July 30th. We will be renting the abandoned runway and setting up a challenging and relatively high speed course.

Here is a link to registration: https://www.ruthlessracingevents.com...mrillo-airport

Use code "BMW" to get $10 off registration.

Moderators, please let me know if this is not the right place to post.

BUMP! Hope to see some members there!

Limiting registration to 30 drivers to maximize drive time.

Is this going to be similar to the Ferrari/Lambo thing that is always on Groupon? Can I wear my Shoei motorcycle helmet, or do I have to have a fire-rated one?

Motorcycle helmet is fine as long as it is DOT or Snell approved.

Similar, minus the fact that we will not be providing supercars haha.

You will get in a lot more laps as well.

On the similar, the real question is the amount of "track" that will be set up. The last Groupon one I did was pretty short, a little figure 8 where we didn't actually cross in the middle. I was hoping for something with more turns . . .

DOT AND a face shield? Or just DOT? Then I could wear my Easy Rider helmet

It will be much longer than a simple figure 8. We will have a setup similar SCCA type autocross events.

We have about 300,000sqft and intend to use as much of it as possible.

If it is a motorcycle helmet, it needs to cover your ears. No buckets haha
