F30 tinted rear screen
Has anyone replaced their f30 rear screen?
I'm looking to tint the rear of my f30 but apparently the rear screen is not easy to tint. John |

+1 for finding a good shop. I had the same guy do both of my F30's and he had no issues with the rear window.

I believe it's called "Privacy Glass", and utilizes electrical process to add a pigment to the glass. IIRC, it does NOT provide the same type of UV protection or heat reduction of film based tints (this of course, depends on tint brand/type).
I have no idea if BMW offers OEM Privacy glass (I am pretty sure we can't get it here in Canada).... perhaps connect with a BMW local parts store to see if they can order OEM one? |
