F30 tinted rear screen

Has anyone replaced their f30 rear screen?

I'm looking to tint the rear of my f30 but apparently the rear screen is not easy to tint.

A good shop and installer can do the rear screen with no problem. Visit a couple, and check out their work and see what you think.

+1 for finding a good shop. I had the same guy do both of my F30's and he had no issues with the rear window.

I believe it's called "Privacy Glass", and utilizes electrical process to add a pigment to the glass. IIRC, it does NOT provide the same type of UV protection or heat reduction of film based tints (this of course, depends on tint brand/type).

I have no idea if BMW offers OEM Privacy glass (I am pretty sure we can't get it here in Canada).... perhaps connect with a BMW local parts store to see if they can order OEM one?

Good explanation of privacy glass vs. tint (film). Originally I thought johnarmy wanted to tint the rear window,

I also have the Llumar tint but the non ceramic in 15% because I don't deal with intense heat where I live so the ceramic wasn't really necessary for me and I love it. The look is unreal! The guy who installed it did an unbelievable job too
