H&R sport springs on non-sport shocks
Someone local is selling a set of H & R sport springs for the non-M Z4. I'm thinking about getting them, but was hoping people could help me with a few questions. I currently have the OEM non-sport suspension set-up.
1) What will the ride be like with the H&R sport springs on the OEM non-sport shocks? 2) They're supposed to lower 1.5" in front and 1.25" in back, but is that based on the OEM sport spring set-up? i.e. if the OEM sport springs are 0.6" lower than the non-sport, does that mean if I install the H&R springs, then the total drop will be 1.5" + 0.6" front and 1.25" + 0.6" back? That seems like a big drop. 3) What's a reasonable price? He's asking $200 and they have 5000km on them. Thanks! |

I would say no more than $175 for a set of used springs, since new springs are around $250. I wouldn't recommend oem shocks on any lowered springs, since the ride quality will change considerably withing 2 years, depending on how you drive and handle turns. I would recommend upgrading to Konis and changing the rear shock mounts when you install the springs.
Good luck! |
