metallic clank when driving foward after being in reverse and vice versa

i have an e92 n55 dct and if i drive foward from a stop or reverse and touch the brakes there is a metallic clunk but it dont happen again till i reverse and touch the brakes or drive foward again any ideas?

2008 BMW 335i  [0.00]
brake pads are a couple mm smaller and it moves in the calipers when you brake. Usually happens when installing non-oem ones.

thank fuck for that i thought it was after i changed to the ds2500s i also couldnt find anything while inspecting and changing the control arms and struts will it cause any problems?

yeah, same happens to me. i was assured by bmw techs it's normal.

Me too after fitting DS2500's. Normal and will reduce with time. Great pads though!
I'm changing to DS3000's soon for track use
