F30 steering wheel shimmy

Hey all, there's a post on the general forums, but i thought I should cross-post it here. I'm looking for some help.

Here's a video with the problem. From about 45-60 mph the steering wheel shimmies like this when I lightly grip it with one hand and even more when I barely touch it.

The dealership already rebalanced the front tires(they were new when i bought the car. Car is 2014 335. Rims are 403M on RFTs.

Im bringing it back to the dealer to see if they can do something. I want to see if an alignment can fix it. Ive read the Toe can be off and cause this. Dont think its the steering rack as users have had it replaced with no fix.

Anyone got any other ideas on a fix?

Cool, thank you! Im going to push for them to cover a free alignment- the car had 4 new tires when bought and CPO'd so i dont see why they wouldnt cover that.

Appointment is tomorrow so ill update with what happens

On my drive over it felt like it wasn't there. This isn't my daily so I'm not driving it often. I swear I just felt the shimmy this past Sunday. I told the SA it was gone.

He told me since the car has dynamic steering sometimes the electric steering doesn't sent the right signal for "feedback" ,he also told me there was a bulletin out that he didn't know of on our last appointment. Apparently there's no solution to the bulletin which I thought was weird.

I left with nothing being done, but I still want to get a good alignment done. It just doesn't feel right. Don't get me wrong it's driveable, but just not 100% it feels like it's running at 90.

Can you send me a PM? I’m having this same issue with my F30 340i and have had no luck in fixing after multiple Balances, allignments, sets of wheels, and new suspension components. Not sure if you’ll see this, came across your YouTube video and then saw you posted it in another forum as well. Any help is appreciated before I replace the whole steering rack in my car. Cheers!
