Code, readiness, long regen

First time working on one of these, 11 335d just over 100k.
Recent history per carfax: CBU service and Mass air sensor 6k ago, Maint inspection same dealer 600 miles ago. Have not tried calling them for addiditonal detail on the entire scopes of those services.

After about 80 miles, I got a 4d16 code reading nox sensor, cleared it, and currently trying to get readiness monitors in the clear or SES to come back.

Newer general service scanner shows the last regen was 19k ago. This cant be possible? I swore when I read the 4d16 it said 10k (also impossible??).

Temp on 30 mile highway trip spent most of the time 188-192F with one drop to 185 and 2 or three spikes to 201+/-. Higher than I expected.

I do need to get a Carly Torquepro or similar setup as they are much more powerful and what most people seem to talk about. Also of note my glovebox obd reader (which I used to monitor coolant temp) gives me a p20ee code that my scanner does not.

Thanks for any insight

Congrats on the purchase. Here is the bmw guidline for reseting readiness on a 335d...bottom line it take a while..mine were approx 400 miles while stock.

How long was it between the two dpf interval readings? I recall when people first starting using torque they found that the measure of distance for that reading was meters (?) or something other than miles/kilometers.

NOx sensors are not as durable as O2 sensors and their failure is somewhat common. And unfortunately NOx sensors are much more expensive than O2 sensors.

Thats interesting. It was somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 miles between the two readings. I'll watch it closer today.

I've seen that people suggest a normal life expectancy around 50k miles on NOx sensors, which puts this car right on target for a swap. Is 4d16 reliably a NOx sensor fault? Seems like there is typically a lot of reading between the lines when it comes to DTC on this car.
edit: looks like the new NOx warranty will help out here

Thanks
