Code, readiness, long regen
First time working on one of these, 11 335d just over 100k.
Recent history per carfax: CBU service and Mass air sensor 6k ago, Maint inspection same dealer 600 miles ago. Have not tried calling them for addiditonal detail on the entire scopes of those services. After about 80 miles, I got a 4d16 code reading nox sensor, cleared it, and currently trying to get readiness monitors in the clear or SES to come back. Newer general service scanner shows the last regen was 19k ago. This cant be possible? I swore when I read the 4d16 it said 10k (also impossible??). Temp on 30 mile highway trip spent most of the time 188-192F with one drop to 185 and 2 or three spikes to 201+/-. Higher than I expected. I do need to get a Carly Torquepro or similar setup as they are much more powerful and what most people seem to talk about. Also of note my glovebox obd reader (which I used to monitor coolant temp) gives me a p20ee code that my scanner does not. Thanks for any insight |

NOx sensors are not as durable as O2 sensors and their failure is somewhat common. And unfortunately NOx sensors are much more expensive than O2 sensors.
