Issue Filling Gas Tank
Ever since I bought my car over a year ago, I've had the same issue at the gas station: the auto cutoff feature of the pump wants to cut me off after just 1 gallon or so, even when the tank is nearly empty.
In other words, I put the nozzle in, squeeze to start pumping gas, and a few seconds later it is cutting off because it thinks the tank is full, but it isn't even close (maybe .5 or 2 gallons pumped, when I need to fill up with ~12+) This probably happens about 80% of the time. Sometimes I get lucky and it just works normally. Happening in California... I know we have some different pumps out here. Any ideas? |

Fairly common problem. A "search" on here will yield many threads with answers.

This happens to me as well, but only if I stick the nozzle all the way in. If i leave it about 3/4 of the way in it fills up and auto cuts off fine.
