330i (B48) 6MT Owners: Does it have auto rev match?

For those of you that own the 330i with a manual transmission, does the transmission have the auto rev match feature like the 340i does?

Appreciate any help!

I don't know the answer to your question, but as a life-long 6MT owner, I finally drove a rev-matching downshift equipped car (M4) last week, and it was AWESOME!

I seriously have no idea why so many reviewers complain about this feature. To me it would be the equivalent of complaining about the hill-hold feature...like one would prefer it to be more difficult.

I agree. I enjoyed the feature when I tested an M240. Bump for any 330i MT owners. Surely there are a few on here!?

With that logic you should just get an automatic.

But yes, the 330i has auto rev-matching.

Um, no. Are the synchros also a bit much for you?

No, but auto is easier, is it not?

Next you'll be raving about clutch-less manuals and all you have to do is move the stick around. Why make it harder on yourself with a clutch? Wait a minute...

Jokes aside, I just prefer to rev match myself. I don't see why that's something that needs to be delegated to a computer, especially without an option to turn it off.

Let's not get into the whole rev-match vs. synchros debate again

Op if the auto rev matching is a negative for you, there is a post on how to code it out. Just google it and iirc it's on the m3 forum.

Have you tried the auto rev match. I thought the same as you but now that I have it I'm liking it. It would be nice to turn off tho whenever I feel like it.

That's quite a leap from a feature to a completely different transmission. I assume it's hyperbole.

The brilliance of a manual transmissions is the mind/body interface with the clutch, shifter, throttle, and the complete control of gear selection. Down-shift rev-matching is merely a nuance of that process (not unlike the hill-hold feature) that someone's managed to automate. I happen to think it's pretty brilliant, but I agree it's shortsighted not to have the ability to turn it off.

Either way, I'm glad there are still passionate people like you and me who continue to champion the manual transmission. If adding features like rev-matching prolong their relevance (and/or market demand), I'm all for it.

The rev-matching feature of the manual transmission was actual the reason I considered to get a manual instead of auto on the 330i I have on order, but I ended up choosing the sports auto instead as it will be my comfort cruiser.
On my other car, a 2017 Mazda MX-5 (Miata), I could never live without the manual transmission, but I would however like if the Mazda had a rev-matching feature.

Wonderful. I hope one day to have an M3 and a Miata as my commuter
