What is the consensus on gaskets and water pump on F series?

Coming from e90 gaskets were a plague - it was not if, it was when they will fail and start leaking requiring to change them. Most PITA was oil pan gasket requiring to drop subframe only to get to oil pan. Not to mention AWD nightmare - front axle going through oil pan! and complicating process even further

Are gasket issues sorted out in F series? Is water pump sorted as well?

The F32 and the like with N55/8AT seem pretty solid. That's one of the reasons why i got a used one a few months back. JMHO.

the N55 is a very solid motor. but there is no way to tell when your pump and gaskets will start to go because every engine is different. alot of it depends on how the engine was treated when new.

on one end of the spectrum, you have failing gaskets at 70k miles. then there are others who have perfectly fine gaskets past this mileage. it is the same story with the pump.
