Replacement battery

The local indi. recently replaced my 90amp hr agm battery with a 95amp hr. I have noticed that it now charges as high as 15.1 volts. He has checked it with his laptop and found no faults. Question. does the car have to be informed that the battery amp hr is different or does know automatically?

Could be a sign your alternator is bad.

BUT

Did the Indy register the new battery? Sometimes a failing battery can be over charged if you have lots of toys in the car. I've seen 15v before.

Also, double check your car is coded correctly. I guess it's a AGM battery? The coding should be A090 in your vehicle order or B090 for standard 90a battery.

A 95a battery fits in with the parameters for 90a coding.

The Indy did register the new battery. He had the date and mileage on his laptop. No extra toys, standard e93. Yes it is an agm battery.
If the 95amp battery is within the parameters of the 90amp coding everything should be all right? Thanks.

Correct but just checking you know the history of the car? If it's 10 years old it may have had several battery changes. Checking the VO is the best way to be 100% sure the fitted battery is correctly coded.
