You probably will have to change the shocks as well because the springs are shorter.

I would not recommend it. Standard suspension on xDrive models uses softer shocks and stiffer springs (assuming the fit is OK) and softer shocks is not a good combination. It's best to do things right or not do them at all. KW Street Comfort coilovers are an excellent choice to consider for xDrive vehicles.

Actually, probably not really needed. Why do you think the shocks are shorter...they aren't a fixed length and going lower but stiffer you will not likely see any more extreme suspension compression. If anything, shorter bump stops may be a good idea.

He was saying the sport springs are shorter (and have a higher spring rate) than the xdrive springs. Thus, your stock shocks will have less travel to work with and may wear faster.

I was going to use Convertible RWD M Sport springs but could never find a reasonable used set. |

I did this on my 2013 335 XDrive 6MT.
Yes I retained stock shocks and the drop is 3/4" which doesn't sound like much but it all but eliminates the roll and firms up the ride 10-15% Can the OEM shocks handle the M Sport springs. Answer is yes. The ride is still soft and still a touch bouncy but it is FAR better than stock which is very bouncy and feels unstable at anything over 60. Got a set of springs from a 2WD M Sport car for $200. |
