DRL not working no message tried everything...

Hi all.

I'm scratching my head on this one. This is an LCI N57 E91. Left side 2nd (outside most) angel eye is not working. There is no message on the Dashboard.
So I got the bulb changed while being serviced. Nada... At a friends garage I tried to reset the module using a diagnostic tool and reset short circuits. Nope, still nothing... So I tried to unplugg the FRM, (pain of job) . Still Nothing. For another probelm the car get a full software update. And the frigging DRL still not working.

What now apart from a set of matches/ new headlight/ FRM module. What do I do?

Have you checked for power to the bulb holder/plug?

PS.. I thought LCI were LED's for the DRL

Only if you have Xenons. Halogens still use a filament bulb.

I have xenons but I think the bulb for the ring lights is just halogen. All wire are there and correct but don't have the kit to test each one. One the guys at the garage said it was likely to be a break in the fibre optic...???

What does that mean anything tio do with the MOST network on the car or just the actual ring itself?

Real OEM show part 5 as the same H8 bulb as pre LCI

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=63_1208

If you take the dust cover off the back of the light unit. You can clearly see the H8. Try swapping with the good side.

They've already given it a new bulb. Weird that a fault should not register and that there is no warning on the Dashboard...

Really at a loss here...

Easy enough to put a test meter on the plug at the rear of the H8
