The only thing I don’t understand is how can the Porsche win the best sport engine when it can’t beat the M3 in its own category??

Congrats BMW.....

Surprised the 911 Turbo motor does well as it does considering its ancient lineage and dead future.

The 997 tt won performance engine of the year by a few points from the M5, M3. I drove one recently and it is coarse, it totally lacks the mechanical refinement of the 4.0 M3.

p.s. M3 should have won 3-4, overall, overall performance and not cause I own one but because it is really that good!
