Anyone know what this is ?

Does anyone know what this rubber thing is ? My mechanic was replacing my starter and the next day I found this underneath my car on my driveway?

I installed my starter about 8 days ago.
Don't recall this rubber part anywhere.

PS: I have a 2007 335i Sedan....don't think the procedure is that much different.
other than what parts need to be removed before getting to Starter.

Airbox grommet for the non turbo engines. Your airbox will be banging and rattling without it

Thumbs up

I couldn't find it online as to where it goes, would you know the part number or a pic of where this "grommet" is located, thanks.

It gets stuck to the air box when your mechanic lifted it up and it fell into the engine bay. If your mechanic didn't notice this when he reinstalled the air box, it's time to find a better shop.
