where to get motor oil

I would like to do in-between oil changes on my m240i. Does anybody know where you can get BMW approved 0w-20 oil and filter in the greater Toronto area? I am having a hard time finding any store that stocks it other than my BMW dealer.

I think BMERTECH on Markham Road might stock it buy not sure, your have to ring them. What's wrong with buying the oil at the dealer?

Dealer is last resort. I was hoping to get a better deal. I will check out BMERTECH and compare. Thanks

No. the B58 engine in my car uses 0w-20. You could use 5w-30 as a short term alternative as well as 0w-30 and some other grades but 0w-20 is recommended.

I wanted to buy the oil and filter from my dealer to do an oil change after the break in but they are charging me more than what they would charge to do it themselves. So I took myself a US address with Kinek and I am ordering a 0W-20 service kit from ECS tuning that I will pick up across the border.

It will take me an hour or two of my time but I think its worth it. (May grab a couple of other items at the same time... currently checking for Winter tires and wheels from Tire rack.)

Dealer prices are crazy. I still have a couple of months before my next change. Still hoping I can find a local place that stocks it. The U.S. address is an option as well. I have family in N.Y. but shipping to them and then to me will probably eat any savings I might get. Thanks for the replies.

I just found out that some of the Costco's will do oil changes for the F15 and F22. Like you I like to do one in between the scheduled change. I think they quoted me ~$75. Keep in mind not all Costco's will do BMW's. The Costco @ Heartland does but my Costco in Oakville will not. Call Heartland and they can look up your car. Both the 2016 X5 and 2016 M235 shows up in their approved cars but my daughter's 2017 230 did not appear. Not sure if the car was too new or they can't do it. I'm glad I can at least do 2 of them for now.

FCP Euro

buy it, put your old stuff into the containers, ship it back for full refund minus the shipping cost.

Costco sounds interesting. I Know my local store does tires but I don't know if they do oil changes. I will look into it. Thanks
