Which ceramic coating would you go for?
As I countdown to Golf R Day, I am busy sorting the usual stuff for a new car, one item is that all essential detailing.
My 330d I looked after myself, various concoctions and waxes or sealants. For my Golf R Hearse I am getting it done properly. However, what coating to go for? Options at the moment are: 1. GYEON QUARTZ MOHS+ 2. GTechniq Crystal Serum Light + Exo V3 |

I've used G Techniq on my 640 but on my new car I am going to be using Sonax Profiline.
Excellent reviews online and easy to apply at home. If I was paying £500+ to a detailed I would use the most expensive G Techniq

I am looking at getting a Detail and Ceramic Pro 9H put on my car. Spoke to the Detailer last night and had it demoed and it looked really good. Unfortunately I don't have the time to detail, wash, wax my cars anymore.

Surely this question is best asked on Detailing World.
I would imagine the majority of people on here who have actually had their cars ceramic coated have only ever used one product or the other, thus a comparative viewpoint will be hard to come across.

I have tried a few different types of the years. Probably the main bit for MOHS+ is that it is easy to apply when compared to Gtechniq. |

But if you are paying someone else to apply it you want your money's worth out of the labour charge.

On my previous Audi and current Bimmers, I have EXO V3 and they perform well. Both my Bimmers get hand washes bi-monthly and the hydrophobic effect still beads like crazy. If I had to do it again, I would pony up and have the latest generation of clear wrap installed. An acquaintance who owns a detail company demo'd it on his GTR. To say it's impressive, would be a mild understatement. But then again, spending $2-3K in clear wrap protection isn't cheap.
