New front driveshaft, new problems ....
It's been a ride recently with the 335xi (07). Replaced shocks, wheel bearing, and in the process saw that my front drive shaft was fubar.
Ordered a new one from CARID.com. Purchased a Dorman shaft which I've heard are quality. Easy swap. Got it out easily, put in new one easily, new alum bolts all around. Was surprised the torque spec is 15 ft lb. That's pretty light. They also have an additional 45deg rotation on top of that. So did all of that. Took it for a spin and there still is a wheeble wooble going on. Mostly in acceleration. I haven't the foggiest what I could have done wrong in the install. It's real simple. So my only thought is that I received an out of balance drive shaft. Is that common (ish), thoughts on Dorman product? What else could I have done to cause this? Thanks as always! |

Well, seems the local mech says I did the driveshaft just fine... saying it's the front passenger side axel. I may have messed it up when doing my struts..
Just in case someone comes across the post, might help. Issue was felt on acceleration, a shaky feeling. |

There is a dot on the flanges for some yokes. Make sure the dots line up. Its used for balance.
