Redesigned E90 Predator ICE Angel Eyes
Has anyone seen the new Predator ICE yet? I just received mine a few days ago, but I haven't installed them yet. I waited for weeks to receive them, too! The difference now is it's plug and play. It looks very similar to the PIAA Angel eyes. But there's only one question that comes to mind. There is no right and left specific pieces, nor are the two pieces symmetric. The two pieces are identical twins. For example, your right and left feet are not symmetric, but they are split mirror images. Another example, when you buy a pair of shoes, you get one left shoe and one right shoe. You're not going to buy two left shoes and try to wear them, b/c the right foot wouldn't fit the left shoe properly. This was the case when I bought the Predator Ice, there was no left AND right specific pieces. Instead, there were either 2 rights or 2 lefts. IS THAT NORMAL? I don't want to go through all the trouble of taking my car apart only to find out that one of the sides won't fit. I'm just wondering if this is a packaging error. Any idea folks? Do you have identical twin parts as well?? Thanks.
v/r Chris

There is a left and a right one. When looking at the units one of them should have 2 (left) holes while the other only has 1(right). Look at the bottom right corner of the unit in the picture below and you will notice there is only 1 hole there. That's the unit for the passenger side. The driver's side has 2 holes. Hope that helps.

I'm sure they're both about the same. Regardless, the install is really easy. Once you've taken off the wheel, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to install the unit.

The new Ice looks nothing like the current photos
Quote:
You don't understand. The new Predator Ice (Version 2) looks completely different from the picture you provided. If there were pictures posted on the new ones I wouldn't have this issue. No more wires sticking out anywhere and no more separate resistors. It's all internal built like a cylindrical mass. It's completely plug and play, just like the PIAA angeleyes. The problem is that it is not symmetrical. As I mentioned in my first example...try wearing two pairs of left shoes all day long, will it work? If you force it maybe and not without consequences. Now imagine this with the ICE. I'm going to install it today. According to Umnitza, there shouldn't be a problem, but honestly, they didn't understand the two-left shoe concept.

I'm not sure if there is a right one and left one. That's why I created this blog to see if there's anyone that might know that answer. I call it the two left-shoe concept. I took some pictures to post, and I'm working on posting them as we speak. You'll see what I'm talking about.

New Predator ICE E90 Angel Eyes (Ver 2) Pictures posted
Here are the pics. Notice how the left and right piece look identical, rather than being a split MIRROR image (two left-shoe concept).
*always have trouble posting pictures...hope it works

Those don't look like E90 Predator Ice at all. The ones we carry are the square ones like the picture I've posted. I would suggest you contact your vendor and make sure that those are for the E90 (which dont look like they will fit).

These are the new Umnitza Predator Ice
Benny...nope didn't buy it on eBay. These are the new Umnitza Predator ICE for the E90 330i/335i. I purchased it from **********. These are so new, the glue hasn't even set yet. I kinda turned the top a bit just to see if it would unscrew or not...and it came lose. I had to reglue it. Well, these are Umnitza's new design. They've been very secretly about these...I've spoken to them.

Did you install it yet? I was wondering if you had the same issues with the screws being too long as the old Umnitza Angel eyes had. Did you change to the 1 1/4 inch screws. I notice the Umnitza Predator Ice product I ordered looked identical to the Racing Dash. Something smells fishy...but all I care about is this working.

New discovery!!!
[QUOTE=zwbmwfans;2645503]I am sure it is for E90 and E91.
zwbmwfans...I checked the serial number on your box to mine and they are an identical match. I guess we discovered wassup now! I wonder if ********** knows what's up since I bought these from them...that Umnitza is taking credit for this new plug and place (Racing Dash) device. Just wondering, where did you purchase yours and how much did you pay for yours? Me, $129 incl shipping.
