Sunroof operation

I have a question. My sunroof will not close after the engine is off, and while the key is still in the ignittion. The windows however will but the sunroof will not. In order to close it I need to restart the car. This did not happen on my e46. Does anyone have a similar problem.

I think the sunroof should operate when the car is on, but the engine shouldn't have to be running. If the a/c is still operating, the sunroof should too. Alternately, you can close the sunroof by holding down the lock button on the fob after you get out of the car.

i have never been able to close th windows or sunroof my holding the key Fob Lock button. i can open it that way but closing doesnt work.

with CA if you hold your finger on the ridges long enough the sunroof'll close

Or if you take the key out of the fob, and manually lock the car from the outside. If you hold it for a few seconds, all open windows and the sunroof will close.

The sunroof will open with the fob. To close it you have to put the key into the lock turn all the way to the right and hold it and then mirrors will fold, windows will come up, and sunroof will close.

Also when the engine is off, you can start the electronics by pressing the engine start button without hitting the clutch that way u can close the sunroof!!!

As said all you need to do is out the key in and press the start/stop button without touching the pedals.

Then the sunroof will work, and the radio ect ect, without the engine being on
