Need Help
Hi I've been a lurker for sometime now a lot of the post I have seen and read have helped me a lot since I purchased my E93 08 5 months ago, I love the car and it's my first car. I love doing Diys and today I was changing out my vanos solenoids since they needed to be replaced. One of the bolts that holds the solenoid into place fell into the engine and I can't find it, does anyone know a place or the size of the bolt so I can replace it. Thank you in advance

You have to find that bolt brother, or it will make itself known, unless of course it fell down into the undertray and rolled away 10' (which has happened to me with various bolts/etc). That inside your engine is a no-go. Jack the car up, remove all under trays, take a deep breath and start very slowly and methodically looking. Look around the car a sufficient perimeter... because if you really can't find it, you're going into that motor to get it, or running the risk of having to find another motor.

Thank you all for your help I haven't gotten on in a while but I did end up finding the bolt after ordering the new one. It was in the underbelly tray and I'm keeping it just in case. Didn't drive the car until I found the bolt. Next thing on the list now is the crankshaft position sensor

Does anyone know how to take out a stripped torx screw? I went in today to replace the sensor and noticed the head of the screw is stripped and it's such a tight spot and I don't know what to do to get it out. Any ideas?

The screw is the one for the crankshaft sensor and it's under the starter so I don't think drilling is an option
