Battery charger for MHD and general use?

Can somebody recommend a battery charger for MHD flashing and for general use.

My requirements:

* Permits full MHD flashes (40mins - 1 hour)
* Can charge a battery that's low
* Can maintain a battery when a car is not driven for a long time
* Will not overcharge a battery
* Works with AGM batteries (which I have)

Firstly, update to the newest version of MHD.

Apparently that model does not support AGM batteries.

It might be OK for MHD flashing but for long term use for charging/maintaining, it might damage an AGM battery.

Oops...just saw your AGM requirement, apologies:

Feel free to spend more on the higher end model if you think you'll ever need to jump a car with it...likely well worth the extra cost:

All day best charger, it's the charger BMW labels as their own.

That one only has a 4.3A output. Might be OK but I read MHD recommends 6A minimum.

Yeah, that's a shit ton of money for what equates to a trickle charger.

I have CTEK MXS 5.0 Polar and its worked fine so far, with MHD and the 40+ minute write, and during winter outside when I had to charge my near dead battery. May want to buy extended cables for it to make things easier. Didnt have many options where I live for the same money.

The CTEK 7002 also has battery reconditioning capabilities, which I thought was a load of BS until I ran my battery flat by leaving something plugged in over a 3 day weekend. She was dead. How dead? Like can't even unlock the door type of dead. Couple of volts across the terminals. DEAD.

I reconditioned it a couple times with the 7002 I borrowed from a friend and it's been fine since -2 years later.

Handy little bugger. I like it.

I had a CTEK 7002 and never had a problem with it. Good charger. It brought back a battery I thought was surely never going to hold a charge again.

I've used this one for years on all my vehicles, and had no trouble doing Stage 1 or 2 at weeks apart. CTEK has a great name, plus this one does the reconditioning.

Apparently the CTEK 7002 has a "supply" mode which delivers a constant 7A.
https://smartercharger.com/products/...multi-us-7002/

I think this is the mode to be in when flashing with MHD.
