Question BMS PowerBox + Additional Tune?

I recently purchased a BMS powerbox for my 08 328i. If I install this chip would I be able to get additional HP from a separate tune (by a shop) on top of the already installed chip or is the chip already considered to be the "tune" and you cant "tune" the car anymore?

If you can tune on top of the chip, what are some good places in SoCal that you guys would recommend? Thanks!

I will say this, I had the AA Tune, and I got the PBX to give me the more touchy pedal, because the better response time advertised from the actual tune, wasn't there. I just kept it on the throttle remap... I'm sure a tuner out there can do all of that for you though, without the need for both products.

the PBX isn't a 'chip'. You can add a tune with it but I would disable PBX other than the throttle remap. It messes with the fuel curve which isn't really a good idea combined with a tune.

a competent tuner (familliar with the N52) should be able to tweak the throttle response easily without needing the PBX.

So do you guys suggest that I return the PBX and get an actual tune? I want to get the most HP possible out of either a tune or the PBX.

Smash that PBX with a hammer if you're unable to return it.
