Added a Prius to the Garage
This may get me banished, but I added a 2017 Prius 3 to the garage containing the 335d and a Forester. It rounds out the stable that now has the functionality to provide around town capability and short runs to the SF bay area, trips on gravel and dirt roads in the Sierras, and the road trip excellence.
I thought about getting a license plate frame that says something like "Other Car is a BMW". That would allow me to have the two most hated cars represented on one license plate. My wife is not amused by the idea.

Hmmmm, I kinda like that. Only it should add something about the BMW being a coal rolling diesel, to offend the Prius enthusiasts. And then add some other creative slights or offenses to offend a few more groups :-) Like this image does for 4 different sub-groups of nerds.

Did you consider an i3?
New Prii are so ugly - way more so than an i3. I wouldn't ban you for the car you bought, but your artistic aesthetics are in question. |

I concur that it is very ugly. But I didn't buy it for its looks, but rather for its domestic skills.

I also have a in town, daily driver, errand runner. It is a '16 VW Golf Sportwagen with the 1.8 L turbo gas engine. It may not get the mpg of a prius but it is very much fun to drive and much more useful at carrying people and cargo.

Yeah, I wish I had one of those too. But the Prius is pretty good for cargo if you have the rear seats down. Seems about the same as my Forester with the seats down. Frankly it is a lot more comfortable for 4 pax than the Forester. It's a totally different driving/riding experience though. It actually goes OK when you put pedal to the metal. My first fillup with 500 miles on the tank was 56.6 mpg.

Congrats on the purchase! Just read it, but better than selling ur BMW!
I need to get rid of some cars at the house, but I kinda hoard. Every car has their purpose. Our 2018 Ford Raptor definitely showed its worth during Harvey. Wife stopped asking "why" about this truck since then. |

I’d get an F-150 if there were room for it in the garage.
