Subwoofer install issues, blows fuse consistently
I've been trying to have subwoofers installed by a local shop but within two minutes of driving the fuse will always blow, this has occurred three times. The shop has no clue what to do at this point? they replaced the fuse the first time, and warrantied the subwoofers for a 'voice coil'. Anyone have any idea what this may be?
First two times they installed, the subwoofer cut out as soon as I went into reverse. Car had been sitting for 2 hours minimum prior. Third time, car had been driven directly by installer after installation and testing, I was able to drive for about 1-2 minutes before subwoofer cut out (I assume due to the fuse again). |

How big is the amp.
What are they using for a ground . Are they using big enough wires. Without specifics there is no way to tell what going on . There is a stereo subforum here . Also there are a lot of hack stereo shops and stereo shops that just don't know how to do a BMW. There is a stereo sub forum here http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27 subwoofer threads http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=66 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=Ultimate+Sub http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=subwoofer Not having a good ground would be my first guess. |

It turned out to be quite the strangest thing.
I use the following bluetooth adapter: https://www.amazon.ca/Bluetooth-Rece...etooth+adapter Apparently the electricals didn't appreciate this cheap little adapter, switched to an auxiliary cord, replaced the fuse and have been good since. |
