Sirius MOST question

I have a quick question.

I just got my car coded buy someone that does this and he confirmed all was done and he actually showed me that all the coding SDRS was aktiv and all.

However i stil do not see it on my radio.

Could it be because i did not correctly do the MOST wiring?

Thanks

If you unplug the fiber at the Sirius tuner, is there red light at coming from one of the pieces of fiber?

If the radio/car was on when you did the test it sounds like the Sirius fiber is not yet in the loop. Use the attached install guide to understand how to patch in the fiber. Use a flashlight to identify the Sirius fiber. Move either the incoming or outgoing piece fiber out one row (one of the ones that run to the front of the car). And insert the 2 Sirius inside the area created by moving the fiber over one row.

Post a pic of your most bus and I can point you in the right direction.

Your input/output are the fiber that is wrapped with the black plastic going toward the front of the car. They are in positions 1 and 4. 2 and 3 are probably the bluetooth/TCU.

So the only fiber on the loop are positions 1 - 4. To fix swap 4 to 6 and 6 to 4. That will put all 6 on the loop. You want your input/output on the ends, 1 and 6 in your case, with everything else between them.

You may want to confirm 5 and 6 are the Sirius with a flashlight shining into the fiber. You will get a white light on the other end. If not, the other 2 pieces of fiber in the top connector could be the Sirius fiber. Generally the extra set is for the CD changer so you can also follow the direction of the fiber. Sirius goes to the middle of the trunk. CD changer goes to the drivers side rear.

Thanks i will try this evening.

Do you think this is the reason why i cannot see the satellite option on my radio even though the guy coded it?

The bottom connector is part of the loop. The top one is for unused fiber. The fiber signal travels in a "loop". It starts at the radio, then into the most bus position 1, then out position 2 to the Bluetooth, then back out the Bluetooth to position 3, then back out the most bus position 4 back to the radio.

Moving the fiber from position 4 to to position 6 expands the loop to allow you to add an additional component on the newly open positions. Also, I noticed an error in my earlier post which I will edit. It should have said swap the fiber in 4 and 6.

Ignore the top one. Look at the picture I posted above where I labeled the positions 1-6. Swap the fiber in 4 and 6.

When you moved the fiber from the top plug to the bottom one, how did you determine those 2 fiber were the Sirius ones?

Here is a better diagram of how your particular patch should look. Hopefully it will not confuse you more.

Don't panic. You just broke the most loop signal by adding fiber that is not hooked to anything on the other end. Confirm that the 2 you added were the 2 that went to the sirius tuner using a flashlight.
